How I plan a week of Instagram content for a Zanzibar tour company
Every post gets one job. Some help travellers discover Zanzibar. Some teach. Some build trust. One makes booking easy. When every post knows its job, the whole week works together.
One post, one job
Before I write a caption, I ask what the post is for:
- Attract attention
- Share something useful
- Create desire
- Start a conversation
- Make booking easy
No posting just for the sake of posting.
What does the week look like?
Here’s a week built from the kind of content I create for Discover Tours Zanzibar:
- Monday – A destination Reel. For reach.
- Tuesday – A Stone Town history carousel. Useful, and worth saving.
- Wednesday – A guest experience. For trust.
- Thursday – A Zanzibar travel tip. For value and conversation.
- Friday – A tour experience Reel. For inspiration.
- Saturday – Beautiful Zanzibar views. Made to be shared.
- Sunday – A tour or airport pickup post. The easy next step: booking.
Early in the week, people discover you. Midweek, they trust you. By Sunday, booking feels natural.
How does a post get made?
Research → strategy → plan → create → write → publish → talk with the community → review what worked. The last step shapes next week.
Why plan the whole week?
Each day does a different job: discovery, useful information, trust, then the easy next step. A planned week walks travellers through all of it, one post at a time.
